Sur la scène de la convention, trois membres du jurys se sont installés afin de contempler les prétendants au titre du "plus beau tatouage". Qui sont-ils? Aucune idée, mais je me pose toujours la question...
I was talking with you yesterday: the first tattoo convention in Brussels organized a contest about "the most beautiful tattoo". And I can tell you I need an entire post to write about this!
On the stage of the convention, three members of the jury take places to survey the candidates for the prize of the "most beautiful tattoo". Who they are? I have any idea, and i'm still wondering the question...
Le concours a débuté difficilement avec quelques soucis techniques, mais ensuite on a pu admirer... heu enfin, plutôt apercevoir les tatouages participants aux concours. Car si le jury avait le nez face aux prétendants, pour le public il était difficile d'y voir quelque chose sans écran géant ou podium face à la foule...
Néanmoins le concours débute sympathiquement avec des tatouages qui valaient le détour. Je pense au gorille et son sexe démesuré (plutôt marrant!) ou au sexy "bang, bang" revolver tatoué juste au creux des reins (carrément sexy!).
The contest started with some technicals problems but then we could survey... heu I mean, make out the tattoos of the candidates. Yes, the jurys were just in front of the candidates, but for us, it was really difficult to see something. The contest really needed of big screen or a podium in front of the crowd to be more "interactive" with the audience.
Nevertheless, the contest started well with tattoos that worth the detour. I think to the gorilla with his huge sex (quite funny!) or the hot "bang, bang" revolver tattooed on the small of the back (really sexy!).
Le premier gagnant de la catégorie "Old School" était amplement mérité tant par l'originalité et le style réussi du tatouage représenté par la tête d'un cadavre habillé d'un sombrero tatoué juste au dessus des "bijoux de familles" du charmant Monsieur.
The first winner of the category "Old School" was well-deserved by the originality and the accomplished style of the tattoo represented by the head of body with a sombrero just tattooed up to the "Family Jewels" of the charming dandy.
Mais ensuite, on a vu défiler sur la scène du grand n'importe quoi! Entre le gagnant de la catégorie "Réaliste" qui portait un tatouage polynésien (où est le rapport?!), les portraits d'Elvis, sorcière ou autre grand mère (quelle surprise de ne pas voir vu un Michael Jackson tatoué sur un torse ou ailleurs! ^_^), le concours est vite devenu sans intérêt.
Les gagnants? En 3e position une bouteille de ketchup, en 2e un portrait de Superman, et 1er une pin-up tatouée sur un biceps. Alors sur le coup, on peut vraiment dire que le concours de l'évènement n'a pas contribué à dépoussiérer les vieux clichés des tatouages sans intérêt!
And then, we saw... a big mess on stage! Between the winner of the "Realism" category who had a polynesian tattoo (so what's the link with the category?!), the portrait of Elvis, a witch or grandmother (what a surprise! I didn't see any Michael Jackson tattooed on a chest or anywhere! ^_^), the contest became quickly boring!
The winners? In the 3rd position, a ketchup's bottle, 2nd a portrait of Superman and the first one had a pin-up tattooed on the biceps. So there, we really can say that the contest of the event didn't help to erase the old cliches of the tattoos without interests!
Et pourtant, on peut vous assurer que nous n'avons pas vu que des horreurs se tatouer lors de l'évènement. Bien sûr, on vous fera découvrir nos "coups de coeur" durant les jours à venir...
And yet, we can assure us that we not only saw boring tattoos on the event. So, of course, we will discovers our top favorite tattoos in the days to come...
